A wonderful traditional pub with real ales and ciders. There's a TV for football in the right hand bar, and on Tuesday nights there's a buskers / jamming session in the back room.
Staff need to enforce 'no vaping' in the pub.

The Swan is the best pub in Wigan right now. A free house with great quality real ales. The pub itself is a really nice Victorian boozer with bags of character and a great atmosphere. Situated right outside Wigan Northwestern it's also the perfect first call or last call of your visit to Wigan. An absolute must.

It is one of the best pubs in Wigan. The beer is always on top form. Just opposite the Wigan North Western station.

Proper old style pub, fantastic selection of real ales and bitters, good atmosphere and handy for a quick one before boarding a train as it's facing Wigan North Western Station.

Wasn't meant to be near Wigan, but train issues contrived a reroute via Wigan. An excellent visit to the S&R, was busy, beers flowing. Near both mainline stations.

If this is 5 star like it says the worlds gone mad more like 2 star at a push Beds not changed when we arrived in our room still dirty pillows and sheets on beds never stop there again when in wigan

Staff and manager both aggressive all because we asked for a drink off the menu and they couldn't be bothered getting it even though it was quiet and no queues. Avoid
